1950s Vinyl by empireoftheimage
This is the Naugahyde Co. swatch sheet for their vinyl pattern named “Contemporary”. Customers were offered a choice of 16 colors (bottom 4 are metallics).
The iconic 1950s vinyl upholstery once found in restaurants and bars all over America. It was constructed twice as thick as any other nauga product due to the embossed pattern rolled into the material . It wore like iron and I was still seeing this around L.A. in the 1980’s in its original applications.
